The CID invited Ofosu-Ampofo for questioning in relationship with kidnappings and marketplace fires in the region.
A letter from the CID to the NDC Chairman defined that “Intelligence gathered signifies that some of these kidnappings and hearth outbreaks are remaining orchestrated by unidentified groups, persons and men and women. Some of the people picked up for interrogation and investigation have stated your title as section of a grand scheme intended to induce worry and stress in the nation.”
It reported “The Prison Investigations Department of the Ghana Law enforcement Company has commenced investigations into situations of kidnapping and fire outbreaks in numerous components of the state.”
But in a letter signed by his attorney Dr. Dominic Ayine and resolved to the police CID, he claimed “we take the respectful check out that due to the fact our client is not underneath arrest for the alleged offences, he is lawfully entitled to drop your invitation. We have consequently suggested him accordingly.
“It is common expertise that our shopper and one other human being are at present the matter of felony proceedings in court in Legal Situation Number CR0385/2019 intituled ‘The Republic v. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo and Anthony Kwaku Boahen’.

But the police CID claimed they will continue to peruse some allegations leveled from him right after the embattled Chairman failed to seem before them.
In accordance to the Deputy Superintendent of Law enforcement [DSP] Ms Juliana Obeng, the CID will use all authorized means readily available to deal with the NDC Chairman.
In an interview on Accra-dependent Neat FM, she reported the CID will not wait to look for a court docket warrant to arrest Ofosu-Ampofo if he yet again drop their invitation.
DSP Juliana Obeng said “It can be probable we can use that to arrest him but I can not confirm now. It’s portion of many other legal solutions to use.”
