Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and Afrobeat singer Fancy Gadam won awards at the 2019 version of the International Reggae and World Audio Awards (IRAWMA).
The Awards, which was held at Pegasus Resort Kingston, Jamaica on Saturday, May perhaps 11, honoured reggae and world songs artistes.
On the night, Shatta Wale’s Gringo was adjudged ‘Best Songs Video’ although he was adjudged Afro Beats Artist of the Yr.
Tamale-centered act Extravagant Gadam won ‘Most Promising Entertainer’ at the awards.

Extravagant Gadam, also in a tweet explained, “Thank you fam for this. This is terrific for us all @IRAWMAAwards.”
The once-a-year IRAWMA was set up in 1982 and it acknowledges and honours the accomplishments and contributions of reggae and entire world new music artists.
The Awards also honours songwriters, performers, promoters and musicians.
