2019 AFCON: Ghana mentor Appiah will not gamble on wounded gamers

Ghana mentor Kwesi Appiah will not take odds by naming unfit gamers in his squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

In the past national staff coaches have gambled on 50 percent-in good shape players and it has backfired.

In 2013, Appiah bundled injured Richmond Boakye-Yiadom in his remaining 23-person squad in South Africa, but the striker never kicked a ball at the event.

Appiah has acquired from that blunder and will only carry completely-fit players to Egypt.
