Highlife fantastic Amakye Dede has topped young gifted musician Kuami Eugene has the foreseeable future of the genre.
Calling Kuami Eugene his son, the veteran musician declared that he is self-confident in the younger musician to hold the fort of highlife songs.
Immediately after an extraordinary joint overall performance at the 20th edition of the Ghana Songs Awards at the new dome of the Accra Intercontinental Meeting Centre, Amakye Dede said he believed highlife was dead.
He reported the ‘Angela’ hitmaker, who was awarded the ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year’, has verified to him that highlife is not dead.
“You are my son” he named Kuami Eugene as he handed him a crown on phase just after their efficiency at the awards.
“I am supplying this to you that you are coming to elevate highlife music,” Amakye Dede just after recounting a memorable expertise he experienced with the youthful musician in London.
