Previous Black Stars participant, Nii Odartey Lamptey, has claimed that Asamoah Gyan need to have managed his choice to retire from the senior nationwide workforce.
Gyan was expected to guide the Black Stars in their bid to close their 37-calendar year wait around for the AFCON trophy in Egypt but decided to rule himself out.
Gyan said that he has been requested by head coach Kwesi Appiah to relinquish the captaincy and serve in a diverse potential ahead of the match. Thanks to this, Gyan retired from the national workforce.But number of days later, the president of the land,Nana Akufu-Addo, phoned him to appear back again to the countrywide group since the nation wanted his services in the impending AFCON tournament to which Gyan rescind his choice.
This final decision did not go down nicely with Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko participant, Nii Odartey Lamptey and has explained the decision as not a great one.
Talking with Ohene Brenya-Bampoe on Content FM’s Anopa Bosuo Athletics, Odartey Lamptey mentioned “For me, I assume Gyan should have taken care of his conclusion. Who are u to disregard the president? No make any difference what you will give the president that form of vital regard. But my dilemma right here is if anything transpires in camp, they will use it from Asamoah. That’s why I consider he should really have manage his to start with decision by not coming again to the Black Stars team so that we move forward. If any combat occurs in camp, men and women will increase problems about him. You know Ghanaians already so that’s my worry for him,” he claimed.
Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s all-time best scorer with 51 aims considering that his debut in 2003.
