Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari says he has not acquired any big assets because he commenced his initial expression as president in 2015, the Daily Have faith in newspaper studies.
Mr Buhari was required by regulation to deliver a new declaration of his assets right before he was sworn in for a next expression on Wednesday.
In accordance to the Day-to-day Belief, the most current declaration states that the president’s belongings are mainly unchanged since his past declaration in 2015.
In other terms, he has not obtained any new properties, shares or financial institution accounts in Nigeria or overseas.
“The president owns 5 homes in Kaduna, Daura, Kano and Abuja, and two undeveloped plots of land, just one in Kano and the other in Port Harcourt,” the paper reported, quoting the president’s office.
“Buhari also has farms, an orchard, ranch, livestock including 270 cattle, 25 sheep, 5 horses, a variety of birds and a range of financial trees,” the paper added.
Mr Buhari has cultivated a popularity for probity, in distinction to the well-known check out of Nigerian politicians.
His marketing campaign adopted a broom as its symbol, representing his stated mission to clean up up politics.
