Lavatory last Friday revoked the licences of 386 bancrupt microfinance and microcredit providers
The Bank of Ghana (Bathroom) says about 137 microfinance and 31 microcredit corporations are now in fantastic standing and would, consequently, stay operational in the region.
This is following the Lavatory revoked the licences of some 386 bancrupt microfinance and microcredit organizations.
This involves 192 microfinance businesses getting their licenses revoked with another 155 insolvent companies that have ceased functions also suffering the same fate.
The Central Financial institution in a press launch Friday also revoked the licences of 29 insolvent microcredit corporations.
Bathroom described that relating to the microfinance firms, it took the action pursuant to segment 123 (1) of the Banking companies and Specialised Deposit-Getting Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
