Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Fatawu Safiu is self-confident Black Stars will gain the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Egypt.
Ghana has failed to gain the Afcon title considering the fact that 1982 and are currently on a 37-yr trophy drought.
Fatawu, who was a member of the 29-guy provisional squad tenting in the United Arab Emirates is very optimistic the workforce will acquire the title.
“I think the team is able, all the guys are all set. This is the time we have to go for it. Ghanaian have waited for far too extended and I think this the time for the team to deliver back again the pleasure and contentment to the people today,” he informed footballmadeinghana.com.
The former Inter Allies forward could not make the ultimate squad that will be travelling to Egypt on June 20.
Even so, he is envisioned to be a part of his Asante Kotoko teammates in Mampong as they get ready for the Tier I Distinctive Competition semifinal clash against Hearts of Oak.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group F along with defending champions Cameroon, Benin and Guinea Bissau.
