The Countrywide Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, who was talking at the closing burial rites of the killed NDC Chairman for the Daffiama Busie Issa constituency of the Higher West Region, Richard Bayiviala Polibong, claimed the dying of the chairman was a reflection of the insecurity in the country.
He reported: “The way he died was tragic. We would have accepted it if he experienced fallen unwell and died obviously but to have his lifetime slash short via these kinds of a tragic celebration is not satisfactory.
“Sad to say, it is a reflection of the at the moment insecurity that exists in our place. People are afraid for their lives for the reason that armed robbers have develop into emboldened and they’ve gone on rampage.
“We urge the Akufo-Addo administration to be up and performing. It is the obligation of the government to secure the lives of its citizens,” John Mahama claimed.
Richard Bayiviala Polibong was killed by unfamiliar gunmen in May perhaps even though returning from a funeral in his constituency.
He was shot in the head by the gunmen at Sagu, a village in the Wa municipality at about 9:30 pm.
This assault provides up to the capturing incident that happened at the NDC regional headquarters in Kumasi in January.
It still left a single useless and a single other hurt. The attack was said to have been carried out by the Hawks vigilante group linked with the NDC.
