Former Ghana intercontinental Laryea Kingston has rubbished claims that the Black Stars are having difficulties at the Nations Cup because of the captaincy row that preceded their departure to Dubai for the pre-AFCON camping.
In advance of Kwesi Appiah introduced his group for camping in the UAE, the state was rocked by the information of Gyan’s retirement from the national group after it was claimed he has been stripped of the captaincy.
Gyan later on rescinded his choice and returned 41 several hours afterwards. He was subsequently named normal captain with Andre Ayew the substantive captain.
Critics of the group feel there is a lingering discontent because of the variations but Laryea has debunked these promises insisting the gamers are experts and would not enable the captaincy rumours influence their ambitions.
“We listened to a ton of issues bordering the Black Stars captaincy prior to the event but I you should not think that has impacted the players,” Laryea said on SuperSports.
“They are expert players and they played effectively towards Cameroon and I hope they gain from Guinea Bissau to qualify for the subsequent spherical of the match,” he additional.
