At least 50 people have been killed in Nigeria when gasoline from a crashed truck that they have been siphoning up caught hearth, a spokesman for the governor in central Benue condition reported on Tuesday.
“A tanker loaded with gas fell yesterday (Monday) and people today were being scooping its products and solutions when it caught hearth, killing above 50 individuals,” the spokesman reported. Many others were being terribly wounded and taken to clinic.
These types of incidents are somewhat widespread in Nigeria, although hardly ever is the demise toll so large. Whilst gas is low cost, several dwell in extreme poverty.
