Head of Ghana Affiliation of Songwriters, popularly regarded as Mr Logic, has encouraged up-and-coming feminine musicians not to study from the legacy of late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns if they want to be profitable.
Born Emmanuel Barnes, he observed that the unexpected development of female acts inserting profane words into their songs to make them blow is worrying.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Mr Logic billed the recent crop of woman musicians to emulate the likes of Adina and MzVee, but not Ebony explaining “if you occur clear you will blow.”
Late Ebony Reigns
“Adina and MzVee do not do nude or profane, but they’re major! [To blow], it’s about your talent, supply and enthusiasm for music.
“You really don’t want to go nude. Ebony produced it with that fashion. She was a excellent singer but her projection wasn’t proper. I don’t hope you girls to tow that line,” he recommended.
Mr Logic wishes rising woman acts to “create their individual lane and be in it” to be prosperous.
