Member of Parliament for Odododiodio constituency Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye has blasted Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah for defying the Government’s white paper on the 2014 Globe Cup Fee of Enquiry.
The former athletics minister thinks employing tax payers income to sponsor admirers to Egypt for the 2019 AFCON is completely wrong next the advice of the white paper.
The White Paper unveiled by the authorities on the Dzamefe Commission report in 2014 said that the country need to not dedicate state cash to mail supporters to tournaments.
It provides: “Funding by private sponsors really should be inspired”.
In an job interview with asempa fm on Thursday, Mr Vanderpuye states the shift smacks of disrespect of the white paper.
“I do not support sending supporters to football tournaments with the tax payer’s income,” he reported.
“I would not have sent supporters to Egypt if I ended up the sports minister,I would have highly regarded the white paper.”
Mr Vanderpuye thinks the decision to send out supporters to help the Black Stars at the event defies the recommendation of the 2014 Governing administration white paper on.
Hon Vanderpuye spent 10 months as a sporting activities minister beneath the Mahama admnistration until their NDC party received voted out in the 2016 election.
But he argues the general performance of Mr Isaac Asiamah is sending Ghana “back” to it is issues times in sporting activities.
“The sports minister is heading to use our money to send supporters on tour in Egypt,” he claimed.
“We have around 1000 Ghanaians living in Cairo by itself ,so why send out supporters from Ghana?
“If this is the guy who took in excess of from me then we have absent back”.
It is not known how lots of fans the NPP government has so considerably sponsored to Egypt but believes it is deliberate attempt to sponsor celebration footsoldiers to the tournament all in the name of supporting the Black Stars.
