The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon is forfeiting three months of her salary to enable her constituents.
The resources, according to Lydia Alhassan will be utilised to “support the vulnerable and needy” in the constituency through the Covid-19 pandemic.
She is flowing the footsteps of President Akufo-Addo who on Friday requested the Comptroller and Accountant Standard to fork out his April, June and July Salaries into Ghana’s COVID-19 Fund.
The Fund which
will be managed by unbiased board of trustees, and chaired by the former
Main Justice, Sophia Akuffo will obtain contributions and donations from the
general public to assist in the welfare of the needy and susceptible as the region
fights to suppress the unfold of the coronavirus.
