Previous president of French soccer club Olympique de Marseille, Pape Diouf, has died right after contracting coronavirus – the initially demise in Senegal from the pandemic.
The 68-year- previous person was being addressed at Fann Hospital in the capital, Dakar.
Mr Diouf, a Senegalese nationwide who moved to Marseille as a teen, was president of the football club from 2005 to 2009, in accordance to AFP news company.

A statement on the Ligue 1 club’s Twitter account said: “Olympique de Marseille realized with excellent unhappiness of the demise of Pape Diouf. Pape will forever continue to be in the hearts of Marseillais as 1 of the terrific craftsmen in the background of the club. Our condolences to his relatives and loved kinds.”
Senegal has documented 175 circumstances to day with 40 of them said to have recovered.
Mr Diouf was between two severe cases described in the country so far. He was in an Intense Care Device (ICU) and was about to be evacuated to France but his frail state created it tough, in accordance to point out media.
