The Gender, Youngsters and Social Defense Ministry says it will residence some 15,000 head porters, commonly known as kayaye in Accra and Kumasi as these cities carry on to observe a partial lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Minister, Cynthia Morrison explained these females and a handful of males will be
fed and catered for throughout their keep at an undisclosed spot.
“Some of them have rented flats but some also live on the streets. For all those devoid of a spot of abode, we at the moment have 15,000 that we are heading to cater for.
