In excess of 250 protection staff drawn from the Ghana Military, Navy, Police and Fireplace Support have teamed up with employees of Zoomlion to embark on a cleanup exercise in Accra.
The workout will be carried out in all other areas throughout the country.
The Sanitation Ministry which is spearheading the initiative in collaboration with the many assemblies is having edge of the lockdown to clean, cleanse and desilt big gutters to boost great cleanliness in support of the coronavirus fight.
Sanitation Minister, Cecilia Dapaah admonished the team to clean and cleanse the different streets to the stage in which men and women can see their faces “when they glance at the streets in their neighbourhoods.”
She urged all house owners to personal bins, “we do not want to see folks gathering their garbage on the floor for many others to select with their hands.”
The Minister admonished
those people at dwelling in the course of the lockdown interval to use the free time to weed about
their residences and hold the surroundings clear.
For individuals permitted
to phase out, the Minister urged them not to litter the streets but use the bins
“If you are caught, the whole rigors of the law will be used. Make sure you do not litter,” she cautioned.
