Transport operators and drivers in Western North Region have improved transportation fares by more than 25 percent.
This follows the directives by the Ghana Private Road Transportation (GPRTU) for motorists to reduce the amount of travellers travelling in buses and taxi cabs to make sure social distancing.
Travellers traveling from Sefwi -Waiwso the Regional funds to Sefwi- Asawinso for instance, now pay 12.00 cedis instead of nine cedis symbolizing 33.3 per cent increase.
