Ship Ghana condemns Old Fadama demolition by AMA

Coverage analysis and civil culture organisation, Send Ghana, has condemned the Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s demolition of makeshift properties in Aged Fadama, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The organisation, in a statement explained the motion as “most reprehensible” and that it “demonstrates government’s insensitivity to the plight of the people today.”

It has been believed that 1,000 slum homes in the Previous Fadama place have been ruined in the course of the demolition workout which was performed on April 15, 2020. 

The constructions, nevertheless, ended up pulled down for the AMA to perform its once-a-year dredging of the Korle Lagoon.
