A Kia Rhino with registration amount GT 6152-19 loaded with above 800 bags of charcoal has been concerned in an accident at Grupe on the Sawla-Damongo highway in the Savannah Area.
The incident which transpired all around 7am, recorded no fatalities.
The driver’s mate who described the incident to Adom News’ Rebecca Natomah claimed the vehicle was on its way to Accra when the incident occurred.
He claimed on achieving Grupe, just a number of kilometers away from the bush wherever they went to load the charcoal, the equipment and brakes of unsuccessful to get the job done when the driver applied them to steady the motor vehicle resulting in him to reduce control.
Slipping to its aspect in the center of the street, cars touring to Damongo and Tamale could not pass for a number of hrs. The problem led to a serious targeted traffic on the highway.
It took the intervention of some passengers and drivers to apparent the sacks of charcoal from the highway to pave way for motor vehicles to move.
