JK Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter adventures, is donating £1m to charities supporting vulnerable people today all through the lockdown.
Fifty percent of the dollars will go to Disaster which allows homeless men and women, and fifty percent to Refuge to assistance victims of domestic abuse.
Rowling’s donations come amid #HarryPotterDay on Twitter.
Saturday also marks the anniversary of a person the author’s important occasions in her stories.
On Twitter, Rowling reported: “Today’s the 22nd anniversary of the Struggle of Hogwarts, but I am going to be trustworthy and say that it feels inappropriate to speak about fictional fatalities.
