The Keta Municipal Assembly has started out distributing nose masks to industry females ahead of the enforcement of the President’s directive on compulsory use of nose masks.
Also, there are notices of “No Mask, No Entry” on doorways to offices of the Keta Municipal Assembly.
Mr Godwin Edudzi Effah, the Municipal Main Executive (MCE) for Keta reported the donation saw 250 nose masks and 660 liquor-primarily based hand sanitizers distributed to traders at the Keta Marketplace after sensitisation on the worth and enforcement on nose mask use.
He said: “the Assembly can’t buy the nose mask for anyone so this exercising is just to teach the general public on what is coming and what we have to have to do to protect against [ourselves from contracting] the virus.”
“Already, the Assembly has mounted roadblocks to display screen persons getting into the Municipality but we’re stating that from Monday, without the nose mask, you are not authorized entry irrespective of your screening. It is necessary that you put on your mask,” the MCE claimed.
