Rawlings, Nana Konadu congratulate Otumfuo as he celebrates 70th birthday


Previous President Jerry John Rawlings and his spouse Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, have congratulated the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on the celebration of his 70th birthday.

In a congratulatory information addressed to the Otumfuo on Wednesday, the former First Pair reported Otumfuo had served as a special ambassador for Ghana and Africa, by exhibiting his dexterity as a genuine diplomat and symbol of the wealthy lifestyle of Ghana.

Touting Otumfuo’s qualifications as a peacemaker, the concept explained “You have proven terrific discernment and understanding of the dynamics of nationwide and world politics and served as a peacemaker in which politicians have struggled to tread.”

Former President Rawlings and his wife said “For the previous 21 many years that you have been on the throne as Asantehene you have endeared your self not only to the Ashanti Kingdom but also to the whole country with your knowledge, leadership and calm manner.”

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II grew to become the occupant of the Golden Stool in 1999 following the demise of Otumfuo Opoku Ware II.
