The Ghana Friendship Affiliation of Edmonton in Canada has $20,000 to the Ghana Covid-19 Fund.
This is to assist federal government efforts in the battle in opposition to the pandemic.
President of the Association of Edmonton, Keli Tamaklo, reported Ghanaians in Edmonton donated as their contribution to complement government’s endeavours.
“Covid-19 is real, and the fight for struggling and vulnerable people really should involve all of us,” Tamaklo mentioned.
Ghana’s Significant commissioner to Canada, Ayikoi Otoo commended the team for their endeavours and urged other Ghanaian associations there to emulate them.
“The fight versus the pandemic is not sole responsibility of the government”, he reported.
“We can only defeat this pandemic when we all appear with each other with a popular intention. This donation will go a extensive way to combat Covid-19 in Ghana,” Ayikoi Otoo included.
Vice President of the Affiliation, Evelyn Obuobi counseled the Ghana government’s attempts in fighting the virus offered the little sources available.
