Ho receives devices to check 2,000 Covid-19 samples every day

The Minister for Wellness, Kweku Agyeman-Manu has presented a point out-of-the-art Covid-19 screening machines to the Ho Screening Centre to improve its tests capacity and support investigation on the coronavirus sickness.

The products, a full established PRC actual-time machine was given by the Ghana Atomic Electricity, immediately after it gained it as portion of logistical guidance from the Vienna centered International Atomic Electrical power Commission.

“With this new Screening and Investigate Machines, the Ho Covid-19 Screening Centre could now take a look at 2,300 samples in just 24 hours hitherto, the Centre could only operate 100 to 300 samples inside of the claimed hours,” Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Volta Regional Minister, who jointly with Professor John Owusu Gyapong, Vice-Chancellor of the College of Overall health and Allied Sciences received the products, reported.

He was full of gratitude to stakeholders for the upgrade and explained the testing capability of the facility would be enhanced sevenfold.

The Regional Minister claimed the Centre would now satisfy tests demands from past the Volta and Oti Regions.  

Volta Area recorded 33 confirmed cases of the coronavirus sickness with 28 recoveries, a single dying, and the remaining explained to be responding to treatment method.
