Govt to commit ₵1.5b in drinking water growth tasks

Govt will this 12 months invest an approximated money of ₵1.5 billion in drinking water expansion tasks, the Running Director of the Ghana Water Firm Confined (GWCL), Ing. Dr. Clifford Braimah has said.

The shift is to increase the distribution of drinking water across the region.

Talking to Host of Primary Early morning Demonstrate, Daniel Dadzie, GWCL manager exposed the tasks will be funded from the 2020 spending budget.

“I never assume the Covid-19 pandemic will affect the financial commitment in the water initiatives. These are focused money for the project and if you communicate of Covid-19 drinking water is also essential,” he claimed.

Construction of some tasks scheduled to have commenced in the first quarter of 2020 had to be postponed because of to the outbreak of the coronavirus and the subsequent imposition of limits.
