Govt to devote ¢1.5b in h2o growth assignments



Govt will this yr invest approximated funds of ¢1.5 billion in drinking water growth projects, the Handling Director of the Ghana Water Enterprise Minimal (GWCL), Ing. Dr Clifford Braimah has said.

The move is to boost the distribution of h2o across the region.

Speaking to Host of Primary Morning Show, Daniel Dadzie, GWCL manager discovered the projects will be funded from the 2020 funds.

“I really don’t consider the Covid-19 pandemic will affect the financial investment in the water jobs. These are committed funds for the project and if you communicate of Covid-19 drinking water is also critical,” he said.

Construction of some projects scheduled to have commenced in the 1st quarter of 2020 had to be postponed thanks to the outbreak of the coronavirus and the subsequent imposition of constraints.
