The police have arrested and charged the founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim for publication of phony information and forgery of a doc opposite to sections 208 and 159 of the Felony and other offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) respectively.
Police say the controversial pastor was arrested on Tuesday May possibly 19, 2020 but did not give details of the news he is alleged to have revealed or the forged files.

They added in a assertion copied to JoyNews that Obinim is also currently being investigated for other offences leveled from him.
Last week, social media was awash with statements that the pastor, who states he has been to heaven, had been arrested by the police following a complaint by Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong.
But in accordance to the police, those people experiences are wrong.
The Prison Investigations Section urged the general public to disregard a online video circulating on social media on the earlier experiences of arrest.
“The video has no relation with the suspect’s arrest on Tuesday Could 19, 2020.”
Law enforcement say Bishop Obinim was despatched to the Justice of the peace court docket in Accra and has been granted a ₵100,000 bail with a few sureties, a single individual to be justified.
He will re-show up before court docket on June 1, 2020.
