An academic and legal practitioner Ernest Kofi Abotsi has been appointed as Dean of the College of Legislation at the University of Skilled Studies, Accra (UPSA).
The university in a communiqué explained the timing of the shift as an “important time in its heritage, and all through a interval when the establishment seeks to leverage on its innovation and creativity to maintain a leadership area of interest in instruction and education and learning.”
According to a May well 20 statement, the administration of UPSA recognised Mr Abotsi’s “wealth of value and insights in tandem with the Faculty’s pursuit of a mission of primary cutting-edge teaching, studying and exploration in Africa and the entire world in the brief to medium conditions.”
“The University Council, Vice-Chancellor and Convocation collectively with the overall UPSA local community welcome Dean Kofi Abotsi and congratulate him on his appointment,” the management stated.
Mr Abotsi was the Dean of the College of Legislation at the Ghana Institute of Management and General public Administration (GIMPA) from 2014 to 2018.

Amongst his latest feats was his purpose as Govt Secretary on the Commission of Inquiry into the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence back in 2019.
