Electricity imagine tank, the Africa Centre for Electricity Plan (ACEP) states it has sighted a letter dated from the Presidency endorsing and approving a proposal by the Ghana National Fuel Enterprise (GNGC) to assign the role of gasoline aggregator to the company.
The Might 11, 2020 letter also gave even more recommendations for the expeditious implementation of the proposal by the Minister of Energy.
In accordance to the Centre, the unique proposal is contained in an additional letter dated May perhaps 5, 2020, to the Electricity Minister with the Finance Minister, Executive Secretary to the President, Board Chair of GNGC, CEO of Ghana Nationwide Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Director Normal of State Fascination and Governance Authority (SIGA), Deputy Ministers and Main Director of the Power Ministry on a duplicate.
Less than the present-day arrangement, GNPC occupies the strategic responsibility of gasoline aggregator with a function to pool gasoline methods from all upstream sources and offer to bulk consumers.
GNGC is generally accountable for processing of fuel and the sale of purely natural fuel liquids.
There has also been the plan overall flexibility for the GNGC to provide gasoline to non-energy and industrial customers.
Below the proposed arrangement, GNPC will cease to complete the accountability of gasoline aggregator to make it possible for GNGC to combine the mid-stream gas operations (Aggregation, Processing and Transmission).
