Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini admires Uruguay forward Luis Suarez for biting him for the duration of a heated match at the 2014 Environment Cup, he claimed in his autobiography.
Suarez, who escaped punishment through the match, was later on banned for four months plus 9 internationals — but Chiellini reported he bore no grudge toward him.
“Malice is portion of soccer, I wouldn’t call it illegitimate. To get past a rival you have to be clever,” the Juventus captain stated in the e-book “Io, Giorgio”.
“I admire his cunning,” he extra. “If he misplaced it, he’d turn out to be an everyday ahead.”
Chiellini reported absolutely nothing unusual took place that working day in the 2014 World Cup.
“I marked (Edinson) Cavani for most of the match, one more dude who is hard to mark and who we didn’t keep again in opposition to,” he stated.
