Deputy Upper West Regional Minister Amidu Chinnia Issahaku attacked by suspected robbers

Deputy Higher West Regional Minister Amidu Chinnia Issahaku has been attacked by suspected robbers at Waale-Sombo in Wa.

According to the Law enforcement, the incident transpired all over 8 pm Thursday, May 21, 2020 when although the Minister was getting a stroll close to his house.

“The two men were on a motorcycle. They wounded him on the correct arm,” said Public Relations Officer for the Upper West Regional Police, Command Insp. Gideon Boateng.

He spelled out that the timely intervention of some police officers on patrol obligation in the place came to the rescue of Mr Issahaku.

The law enforcement also revealed that investigations have commenced into the instances surrounding the incident.

“We are seriously investigating. That is why we often say that the motorcycle patrol is assisting us. If the police had been there right before the incident, they could have easily chased them whilst we had been using the motorbikes. Sadly we could not get them,” the Inspector additional.

The Deputy Higher West Regional Minister is acquiring treatment at the Homeland Clinic in Wa.
