Government has built general public, programs to source the expert services of personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces, especially the 48 Engineer regiment, in the building of roadways throughout the country.
In partnership with Engineers at the ministry, the armed service officers in accordance to the Minister will be provided the responsibility of restoring lousy roads, development of new ones if vital, restoring and development of bridges amongst other people.
The Streets Minister Kwesi Amoako Atta said this at the Burma camp in which Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia lower the sod for the commencement of the update of Garrison streets throughout the region.
Mr Amoako Atta introduced a partnership which will permit the guys in uniform to sign up for forces with his ministry to repair roads and construct bridges throughout the country.
“We want to create in my ministry, a long-lasting connection with the Military services mainly because we know what they can do, we know their amount of effectiveness, and we know their superior stage of expertise” the Minister mentioned.
Mr. Amoako Atta who was extremely optimistic about the execution of the job extra,
“From now onwards the ministry of roadways and highways symbolizing governing administration is going to do the job with the Armed service including the 48 Engineers to fix some of our streets and to fix some of our bridges throughout the country”.
It is having said that unclear when the project will be done across Garrisons nationwide.
