The Deputy Sports Minister has revealed that the previous Black Star Mentor, Kwesi Appiah is remaining engaged on his income arrears.
Perry Okudzeto talking on Joy News’ ‘Beyond the Lockdown’ Sunday explained governing administration still owes the former Mentor mainly because of some challenges that arrived up ahead of the termination of his agreement with the Ghana Football Affiliation (GFA).
While he refused to disclose the concerns, Mr Okudzeto stated once they are settled, the former coach will be appropriately remunerated.
“I know that the [Sports] Ministry is in talks with Kwesi Appiah and at the ideal time, types the challenges are ironed out, he would be compensated,” he was categorical.
Former Black Star Mentor on Friday, May well 22, in a 3rd letter the GFA, demanded the payment of his salary arrears, a sum of $180,000, owed him.
In accordance to Mr Appiah, should the GFA fail to acknowledge receipt as they have in the last two circumstances, he would be to pressured to carry on to FIFA to demand from customers the funds, as enshrined in his contract.
