5 foreign nationals arrested for entering Ghana illegally


5 foreign nationals have been arrested for moving into the state through an unapproved route at Hamile in the Lambussie District of the Higher West Location.

The regional command of the Ghana Immigration Support (GIS) mentioned the migrants who are all Burkina Faso nationals aged involving 15 and 27 were being arrested at the weekend.

They rode into the nation on two motorbikes with registration numbers 32-UJ-6586 and 32-JW-5633 at Defeat 2 unapproved route bordering Burkina Faso.

The regional Professional for the Assistance, Ibn Yussif Duranah Abdul-Mumin Seidu, claimed that “preliminary investigations unveiled that they had been travelling to Kumasi and Techiman for farming purposes”, he explained.

Mr Seidu defined that the unlawful migrants were screened by the Port Health Personnel and handed more than to the Burkina Faso authorities on the other side of the border and their motorbikes, impounded.
