Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has dispelled statements that he pays people today to give him data.
Talking in an exceptional interview with JoyNews’ Mamavi Owusu-Aboagye, the business enterprise mogul claimed individuals voluntarily give him info and he on the other hand, decides irrespective of whether or not to give them money.
“Some people today willingly convey me information and facts but the reason is that, they do not have self confidence in the process, they have self-assurance in me.
“I do not give cash [for information], I can decide to dash you cash,” he pressured.
The controversial MP further insisted that any person who requires for funds from him prior to offering him data finishes up having very little.
“This early morning any person arrived from Suhum, he is heading again and I give him about GHS1,000.00 for transport. I know that the transportation from here [Accra] to Suhum is not even GHS50.00. So GHS1,000.00 indicates a ton to him, it does not mean everything to me but I cherish the facts that he has specified me,” he narrated.
“But if the he arrives from Suhum to inform me, ‘give me GHS1, 000.00 or GHS2,000.00, I have data for you.’ I will give you a slap and wander you out of my area.”
Mr Agyapong has just lately been concerned in a feud with the founder of the Worldwide God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim soon after the MP sought to expose the ‘shady’ dealings of the Pastor on his television station Web 2 Television set.
In a series of programmes, the MP accused the Bishop of forgery, manipulation, money laundering between other individuals which a short while ago led to the arrest of Obinim.
The preacher has subsequently been launched on bail after investing three evenings in law enforcement cells.
