Confederation of African Football (CAF), Clinical Committee did not information cancelation of competitions underneath the umbrella of the continent’s football governing, member of the Committee, Dr Prince Pambo has stated.
It would be recalled that, Dr Pambo was quoted by myjoyonline.com to have explained that the Government Committee of CAF were adviced by the health care committee to terminate its tournaments because of to COVID-19 pandemic which has compelled key sporting competitions across the globe to a ground halt.
The specific concept supposed conversation was that, the committee adviced CAF to suspend all tournaments and matches as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and not terminate.
CAF suspended all its competitions indefinitely next the outbreak of the pandemic earlier this year.
The outbreak compelled governments of member associations of CAF to enforce movement constraints on its citizens and ban on public gatherings.
