Akufo-Addo presents charters to Pentecost and All Country universities


President Nana Akufo-Addo has presented presidential charters to the Pentecost University College, Accra, and All Nations University School in Koforidua.

This was at a ceremony at the Jubilee House, Thursday.

The President said the presentation of the charters usually means the two universities “are going to transition into autonomous Universities, with the capacity, now, to award their personal levels and diplomas.”

Delivering the remarks at the event, he indicated that the country’s tertiary education procedure, like that of other nations, is composed of each general public and private establishments, with the general public universities founded by Acts of Parliament, with presidential assents to award their personal levels and diplomas. 

“On the other hand, personal university faculties go as a result of a time period of academic mentorship and supervision by a mentoring, public establishment for the award of degrees and diplomas.
