Yaw AduKuffour affectionately termed Bro. Yaw at house, and commonly identified between his friends as Papoli was born on November 24, 1966 to Samuel Kojo Adu of blessed memory and Madam Rosina Aryee.
He was the 1st born of his parents and the only son of his mother.
He had his most important schooling at St Johns Major School, Achimota(1973-1978) and Eto Main College, Dansoman (1978-1979). He then proceeded to Presbyterian Boys Secondary College, Legon for his secondary education and learning from 1979 to 1986.
He attained admission to the College of Ghana in 1987 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1990. Just after graduating from the University of Ghana he ongoing his schooling at McGill University in Montreal, Canada from 1992 to 1994 where by he correctly pursued a Master’s in Company Administration, majoring in Finance.
On his return to Ghana in 1994, he started do the job at the Have confidence in Lender Ltd and moved on to Ashanti Goldfields after a 12 months. He remained at Ashanti after the merger with Anglogold till 2005.
