A 25-yr-previous man whose whipping of his 3-year-outdated son leading to critical injuries has been convicted of the criminal offense in the Ashanti Area.
Ebenezer Osei Bonsu on June 2 adjusted his plea to responsible and pleaded for leniency.
His three-year-outdated son was hospitalised with serious wounds immediately after he whipped him with a belt and power cable for bed wetting.
Prevalent general public outcry greeted disturbing photographs of the boy’s ordeal which went viral on social media.
He finally pleaded responsible to a charge of assault and producing hurt.
Speaking to Luv FM’s Erastus Asare Donkor, law firm for the accused explained that his consumer arrived at his most recent determination as a display of remorse.
“I consider it is as a end result of regret. All along he had been remorseful. He intimated to me that he was not guilty. He pleaded not responsible. Believing that he had essentially crushed his son, it was within him. So it was like he was residing a double everyday living,” he claimed incorporating that his consumer was all set to matter himself to the jurisdiction of the court docket.
