He mentioned that the new job is a needless exercising because the Jean Mensa-led EC in 2019 said that the register is credible and used it to perform district assembly elections.

“The recent sign-up that the EC is so desperately hoping to discard is the 1 that brought the sitting down president and the crop of Parliamentarians to workplace and the final result of that election has never been contested,” he said.

Touching on the length for the 2020 election, Mr Dokurugu indicated that Ghanaians will be going to the polls in scarcely 5 months, consequently, it will be extremely hard to compile a credible sign up in the time.

He even further said, with the current coronavirus pandemic and its outcomes on citizens, it will be burdensome for electorates to vacation to their hometowns to sign-up.

He added that the workout can quite possibly be venues to unfold the virus that is even now wrecking havoc across the earth.

“This will expose the aged who have many fundamental diseases and who are more vulnerable to the condition,” Mr Dokurugu added.
