George Amoako is facing an uncomfortable demotion at Asante Kotoko as he is billed to drop substantially from a Main Government function to an Accra consultant of the Ghanaian giants.

Mr Amoako will not serve as a senior figure at the club as the newly constituted nine-member Board of Directors begin to wield the axe.

Amoako’s upcoming has been vastly speculated in the local media and was set to be yanked from the club wholly.

But Kotoko have decided to “retain him around” thanks to his part as an Govt Council member of the Ghana Football Association, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The Porcupine Warriors want to ensure they have a voice on the powerful council and so will permit him “float around” as a funds-dependent consultant.

He will swap common administration member Edmund Ackah, who resigned from the club soon after a fallout with Executive Chairman Kwame Kyei.

The two-time African champions are desperate to restructure the club to evaluate up to their iconic conventional following plummeting more than the decades.

They are in the hunt for a new Chief Executive with several customers of the current administration crew anticipated to be thrown out of the window.

Popular studies have claimed former Ghana FA vice-president George Afriyie and Phar Rangers main Nana Yaw Amponsah are the two major candidates for the leading work with previous Ashantigold CEO Frederick Acheampong rumored to be fascinated.
