The Aflao Sector Command of the Ghana Immigration Company in the Ketu South of the Volta Area has intercepted 141 gallons of gas in an operation at unapproved routes on the “Pilla 7 and 7B” border enclave.
According to Aflao Sector Commander, Chief Superintendent Frederick Baah Doudu, the patrol staff acted on intelligence regarding the unlawful activities of a legal syndicate at that part of the border stretch.
The swift tactical operation took place on Saturday, 23th June, 2020.
He indicated that the deployed patrol workforce found out and designed an interception of 129 yellow jerry cans of fuel which had been packed in an uncompleted structure found shut to the borderline at the unapproved route.
The uncompleted structure was suspected by the officers a top secret place used as a facilitating level for unlawful cross-border pursuits.
In a identical thriving development at the same enclave, the patrol officers designed another arrest of 12 gallons of fuel at a independent place, totaling 141 gallons of gas intercepted that similar night time.
