The ‘In Ghana’ hitmaker explained: “Even when I was nominated, the assertion I created on the purple carpet when they requested me, I explained to them that my nomination was a testomony to all the wonderful artistes I discovered from, upon whose footsteps I acquired from, on whose footsteps I acquired from – the Ampadus and all of these Ghanaian legends, whose tunes when I was a little one I was studying, reducing my chops and all of that kind of things.

“The tribute was to them because that was wherever I figured out from and acquired a lot of unique strategies and moved forward. So, it is not a nomination that was self-serving for me, it is a nomination for all of us, it’s opened the doorway. Other people can go get a lot more nominations and get. It is open but the only issue men and women have to know is that we’ve opened the door and that’s a pretty important issue.”
