Previous president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kufour (Obour) has misplaced the Asante Akyim South New Patriotic Get together (NPP) parliamentary primaries.

He misplaced to the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) Kwaku Asante-Boateng. Though Obour experienced 296 votes, Mr. Asante-Boateng polled 360 votes.

NPP delegates have voted to elect parliamentary candidates for 168 constituencies.

This exercise is the next section after the 1st stage of the primaries arrived off in September 2019 in constituencies with no sitting Users of Parliament.

A full of 374 aspirants contested in the 168 constituencies. Out of the 374 individuals, 325 are adult men while 51 are girls.

In the meantime, Communications Director of the NPP Yaw Buaben Asamoah has retained his situation as the party’s prospect for the Adentan constituency arrive December.

In the Okaikoi South, Ahmed Arthur has misplaced the seat to Darkoa Newman while in the Dome Kwabenya constituency, Adwoa Safo has retained the seat beating Mike Oquaye Junior.
