Livestream: Mahama addresses country on Supreme Courtroom ruling on voters’ sign up

The presidential applicant of the opposition Countrywide Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama will address a push briefing organized by the party to respond to the Supreme Court’s ruling on the compilation of a new voter’s register.

The Supreme Court on Thursday dominated that the Electoral Commission has the power to compile a new voter register for the December polls.

This will come after a private citizen Mark Takyi-Banson and the opposition NDC filed the case in court docket asking that it stops the EC from compiling the sign up or make it possible for the use of the birth certificate and voters ID card by possible voters as evidence of identification.

But the court docket, in its conclusion held that the EC is an unbiased body and will only be directed by the court docket if it functions opposite to regulation.
