The Municipal Chief Government for West Mamprusi has offered in excess of 600 items of twin desks to be dispersed to 11 standard educational institutions in the space.
Aremeyaw Somo Lucky said the desks are to cut down congestion and endorse social distancing in classrooms when educational facilities resume amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
“Our aim to make confident all children in university get furniture to sit comfortably to learn is on class,” the MCE discussed.
“I am presenting 600 home furniture to the Ghana Education and learning Support (GES) to enhance what they now have in their several educational institutions to make absolutely sure that our kids get furniture to sit and discover,” Mr Somo Fortunate said.
According to him, the donation was in fulfilment of government’s ‘$1 million for each Constituency’ assure.
“Already we have created about a few 6 unit classroom blocks for Hairiya, Wungu and Buakudoo.
“We are also developing a CHPS compound at Minima and Fungu-fio to complement the health and fitness sector initiatives below the exact same undertaking,” the MCE additional.
Handing above the desks, the MCE also tasked the education authorities to ensure the household furniture are place to fantastic and helpful use.
Speaking at a quick ceremony in Walewale in the North East Region, he claimed government has fulfilled most of its promises opposite to the assert by the opposition NDC.

The West Mamprusi Municipal Director of GES, Mumuni Mbonwura Francis who obtained the desks on behalf of the faculties highlighted the value of the donation and thanked government.
