Law enforcement in the Savannah Area have arrested 5 direct suspects in connection with the lynching of a 90-year-outdated female at Kafaba in the Savannah Location.
This arrives on the back of an first arrest of Kafaba Chief, Zackaria Yahaya at Damongo on Tuesday.
This brings to 6 the variety of suspects in custody of the Regional Law enforcement Command as they race to convey the perpetrators of the gruesome murder to reserve.
In a video sighted by Myjoyonline.com, the deceased, Akua Denteh was slapped, kicked and caned on July 23 immediately after a traditional priestess accused her of staying a witch.
According to the police, all the suspects admitted acquiring invited the priestess to Kafaba exactly where the incident occurred.
They are Haruna Aness – 34, Issifa Tanko- 35, Shaibu Muntala – 29, Sulemana Ali -35 and Issifa Zakyibo -32.
The suspects have been detained for even further investigations.
Meanwhile, the incident has sparked an uproar amongst a cross-part of Ghanaians on the require for justice for the family members of the deceased, Akua Denteh.
