He explained the accusations by the Countrywide Democratic Congress flagbearer are unsubstantiated.

According to him, soldiers in Ketu South and elements of the Volta location are only next individuals who illegally cross the border and assert they are Ghanaians, to their houses for verification, opposite to promises the soldiers have become citizenship inspectors.

He said “let me set it on record that the federal government has not conceived, the authorities did not program, the federal government has no intention, the government will not plan and will never have an intention of suppressing any opportunity voter who is a Ghanaian and who is competent, who is of sound mind, and above 18 several years to register.

He observed that there are more than 30,000 polling stations across the country with incidences in 1 or two polling stations but generally the registration has been really tranquil and has been pretty orderly. “As I mentioned before, we deployed the military to the borders to assist the immigration service to ensure that the borders continue being firmly shut.”

“There have been incidences in one particular or two constituencies, notably Ketu South and Banda. Ketu South was self-inflicted. The NDC decided to intentionally mislead the men and women of Ketu South to feel that the military was only deployed to Ketu South. These days, the figures coming out of Ketu South is very very clear that there is no voter suppression in any element of Ketu South.”

Mr Nitiwul named on President Mahama to offer proof for his promises indicating ‘”if the former president has any evidence, he must carry that evidence, and the minister of protection will act. We are calling on him to present evidence. The allegation he is generating, we want evidence of that allegation.”

The former president in a social media post sighted happenings in the Volta location and Banda constituency where by the armed service has been reportedly avoiding men and women that appear to be to be NDC supporters from registering.
