The aggrieved inhabitants said their MP engaged in functions of violence and dishonesty following firing a gun at the Actions to Christ registration centre.
The Anxious Citizens in a petition presented to the Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Oquaye, argued that the suspension will allow for security agencies to continue with investigations about her use of a firearm.
The MP, who is also the Minister for Specific Development Initiatives, was invited for questioning by the Central Regional department of the Felony Investigations Office (CID) of the Ghana Law enforcement Assistance.
Hawa Koomson admitted to firing gunshots at a voter’s registration middle, an act that has been given huge condemnation from the general public.
The MP reported she fired the shots due to the fact she felt her basic safety was threatened, there have been several phone calls for her to be prosecuted.

“Is it simply because she is experiencing some Parliamentary immunity?” he questioned.
